Louis Kentner highly recommended Cassadó as a teacher. Rohan later heard that Cassadó had offered to teach him free of charge. | |

President: Sir John Barbirolli. Rohan aged 11. In February 1951 Rohan and his mother came by boat from Colombo to Tilbury for Rohan's auditions in UK and France. They then returned by boat to Colombo.
Rohan played to Herbert Walenn, Principal of the London Violoncello School who commented on Rohan's “outstanding musical talent” and predicted he would “rise to the highest ranks
